Differences between topic, project goal and final product

Your topic is the general category your project goal falls under.

The topic should only be one to two words.

Your goal is what you are trying to accomplish by the end of the Personal Project.

The project goal should state what you are trying to accomplish and why you are doing it. It should be 1-2 sentences.

Your product is the evidence you have made to show others that you were successful with your project.

Your product can be a physical item (something you make) or documentation of an action (through pictures)

Examples of topics , project goal and final product:

These following statements are examples of how your project goal could be put in ManageBac. Don't worry about getting it perfect now, as you may want to change your topic in the future.

Human kinetics or Japanese art: John wants to learn how to fold origami roses to improve his fine motor skills in his fingers.

Environment or Music: Elaine wants to bring attention to the impact of garbage on the environment by writing a song about litter in the streets of her town.

Video games or Mathematics: Taylor wants to design a video game that helps children struggling with math practice arithmetic.
