The Process Journal is an important part of the Personal Project. It will assist you in investigating, planning taking action and reflecting on your Personal Project. It will be a place to record ongoing developments, reflect on the global context of your project and reflect on yourself as an IB learner through both the Learner Profile traits and the ATL (Approaches to Learning) skills.
You are encouraged to respond to the Process Journal suggested questions for each week because many of these questions will need to be answered in your final report. The more in-depth you go with the Process Journal, the easier report writing will be.

The Process Journal is:
Used to document the development of the Personal Project
Updated on Managebac weekly
A place to record initial thoughts, investigations and planning
A place to record multimedia entries (writing, photography, video, audio, interviews, research and more)
A place to record research and interactions with teachers, supervisors and subject specialists
A place for evaluating work completed
A place for reflecting on learning
Used as evidence to demonstrate achievement in the assessment criteria (A: Investigating, B: Planning, C: Taking Action, D: Reflecting)
The Process Journal is NOT:
Used on a daily basis (unless this is useful)
Written after the process has been completed
Additional work on top of the project – instead it is part of and supports the project
A static document with only one format
